so my passenger side power window took a **** on me today. it rolled down just fine but would not come back up. neither the driver or passenger switch work on it but the driver side window works normally. i took the door panel off and hooked the motor up to a battery, it rolled up. ive checked the fuse its fine but there is no power to the switch( checked with a meter). is there a relay somewhere that im missing? any help is greatly appreciated thank you for your time.

It is a white plastic, rectanguler amp that is about 1 inch tall and 3 1/2 inches long. It will have a metal tab out the bottom that screws it into the driverside door. Good luck, these die ALL the time

well it is honestly not there guys, i have looked everywhere inside that damn door its just not there. if someone could help a detailed discription of where it is would be nice so i can completely eliminate all possibilities of it actually existing on my car. is it possible that it could be mouted somewhere else? im gonna tear into it some more this afternoon. thanks for the help

ah i see now well ill check that tomm, i found a parts car today so ill try another switch. i would have worked on that today but i went to change my brakes this afternoon and one of the bolts were stripped in the stud that the caliper floats on so that was the biggest part of my day, finding a s14 in a local junk yard is a total godsend for this area.

well i pulled the switch apart cleaned it real well with an airhose and now it works, cant belive it but it does. morgs pull your door panel off and hook your battery directly to the window regulator (motor) so you can eliminate the possibility of it being your regulator, and so it wont rain in your car

i take it s13s have the same or similar window amp, because i applied direct power to the passenger window motor and it rolled up, so im guessing my amp is dead

is your passenger window locked? have you tried both driver and passenger door switches? the article on repairing amps applies to s13's.

I would check yours to make sure its not off the track cuz thats what it sounds like ur problem is.

I cant even roll mine down, or up, it just doesnt have any power going to it, so more then likely mines the amp problem and yours is off the track
