I got some time to get to this and the results were what I feared. One good thing though is once you get the thing out and realize what goes where it doesn't take too long at all!
Anyway I get the motor off the regulator(which looks fine) and I hook up the power to test the motor, seems to run fine. I test both regulators and they both work except the new one has greater tension than the one I took out. So I pop the new one on the motor hit the switch and we have power! But the celebration didn't last:( . When the regulator is giving the motor a certain amount of tension it starts to make that horrible noise again. #^*@ #^&@ (*&^#@(you get the point). I guess the loose regulator put too much pressure on the motor & over time the extra work load started to wear it down. So it's Saturday, no motor at least till Monday(probably have to have it ordered) and am less than thrilled! Ah well, live and learn.
