My 93 j30 t is makin me crazy and i dont have ac.

The driver side window got stuck open. some thing broke with the track. so i took the door panel off and screwed a piece of wood to the door to hold it up. i have all my wires exposed ( for the switch) and it was raining and the wire pinched when i closed the door. a day later my driver rear window started goin up and down bu it self , then stopped working while the wndow was open. I took off the real panel and hooked up one of the connectors to a dewalt battery and got to close and open. but it wont close all the way it stays open a inch. the motor turns but it wont go up anymore...

now today mr left side rear window opens and closes by it self.. i disconected the main switch and this is where i am...

any 1 know y the rear wont go up all the way .. i think i shorted the main switch... i can open and close both right side windows... the motor on the driver side works but the track is messed up and my left rear dosent work at all

This might be a long shot, but have you checked your fuses yet?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the J uses a rudimentary CAN system to transmit information for window and door lock operation. Each door has a small control unit. If you have compromised one of the main control wires you will need to fix that first.

Window problems are usually one of the main components like a motor, switch or relator the control units rarely go bad and more likely than that would be a failed drivers window switch.

The control units are basically finite state machines (implemented in hardware using discrete flip flops?). It is highly likely that the input to those control units are faulty, confusing the state machines.
