I have a 2004 350z and my driver side window has a mind of its own. I need to replace the motor but heard a rumor that the motor AND regulator need to be replaced together. Is this true?

Are you SURE that the motor needs to be replaced? Try this...

1. Turn your car key to the ON position and press and hold the button to move your window all the way down and when it reaches the bottom hold for 2-3 seconds. Then press up and hold it as it goes up and then when it seals hold it for 5-6 seconds. If that does not work 2. Remove your door trim panel and where the motor is located there should be a small rubber nipple/button poking out. Roll your window all the way down and hold the button for 3-5 secs. Then roll your window all the way up and while holding the Window up button press and hold the nipple/button for 3-5 seconds. Hopefully this works becasuse both these techniques have worked when I have fixed Altimas, Maximas, 350Z'z, Versa's and Sentra's and Murano's

I can try it but what I forgot to say was that sometimes it doesnt work at all and if it does work then I usually have to push the window down along with pressing the button for it. It is like there isnt enough power in the motor to properly move the window.
