Had a friend in the passenger seat a little while back and he tried to open the window with his switch but it didn't go. But I could open it with the drivers switch. Weird thing was that the passenger switch works when closing the window. Any ideas why up works and down doesn't? It used to work until now.

Its a 1995 LE

Thanks.

At first I thought it was the child lock but it was off... It didn't make any noise when I tried the passenger switch. Works normally from drivers switch.

probably something with the switch itself then... Id try to clean it out a little bit and maybe pull it apart if that doesnt work... see if maybe something is loose or jammed in there or whatever. Cant be the motor though obviously since it still works from your side. I say start simple before you get complicated with the electrical stuff.

probably a bad contact in the switch or maybe its just dirty, as fiz said. After a lot of use sometimes switches just go bad.
