Complete disconnect on driver's side power window. What do I need to do to correct this?

You may need a need switch, could be the motor. You are going to have to do some investigating to see what has failed.

I stripped the door down today and found brushes were siezed in the electric motor of the window mechanism. It appeared that there was an excess of grease around them which had dried up and siezed them so they were not making contact. A little penetrating oil (WD40) degreased the armature and everything works fine now. A rather time consuming exercise but definitely worth it to fix the problem and not have to take it in for repair.

Nice job. Did you happen to take pix?

+1, nice fix! Most would have replaced the window motor.

We were too busy figuring it out to think of taking pix! Time and patience paid off and avoided replacing motor unnecessarily. Appreciate the feedback.
