I'm looking at buying a 91 240SX. Thing is, it has manual windows and I'm lazy. Is it possible/easy to switch them to power windows?

In the back of super street magazines there was a little vendor ad thing for diy installs such as power locks / truck, remote entry, power windows and other stuff. I'd find the website but it seems the new issue doesn't have that ad anymore.

ya i know the guy that did mine just cut the hole wider where the handle fits...but you will also have a hole where the window crank was...i just put a tweeter in each side...fits so perfect :)

yes you can convert them either with aftermarket window deals or you can put in factory stuff witch would mean replacing your door.

Why would you wanna upgrade them anyway? The manual windows makes it feel like more of a sports car, and its lighter =) lol

I wouldn't think it would be all that much lighter then the power window set-up. How much weight would u actually save from the motor, assembly, and switches? couple lbs maybe?

Mine is also manual and eventually I will do the conversion.

My first car was manual everything but the tranny and I hated it. It's only use was to maybe strengthen my left arm which I don't use for anything ANYWAY

unless I get a RHD GTR someday heheh

OK, I HAVE DONE IT!!Go onto http://www.ebaymotors.com and type in SPAL look for their window motors,it is about $100 for it, it goes in place where the window crank is. The cover sticks out like an inch, it annoyed me when I first go it,then I covered the top of it with a fake Carbon Fiber sheet I bought on ebay for $5-It actually looks nice--
