My 90' hatch doesn't have power windows or door locks...is it possible to someday install this stuff into my currently "unpowered" car?

How hard is it to switch to manual? Selling the power parts would be nice and the reduced weight too...

power windows are a pain in the *** in my opinion, motors go out is a pretty common thing and to replace them it is expensive, manual windows are simple and ive really never heard of them breaking.

ahoy mate! welcome to el nico forums, where you learn wondersssss.

switching from power windows to manual doors is pretty simple... either you swap internals... or the easier way would to just grab to manual doors from a junkyard and basically bolts on. but you will also need to take off your dash to unplug the wires to the doors.

swapping from manual to power is more complicated unless you're a car electronic kinda guy... i bought 2 power doors thinking that it would be plug-n-play, but its not. you would either have to get a whole entire power interior harness or if you're a electronic guy you would wire some lines to relays and such...

Its not as much for lossing weight as it is wiring simplicity. I'm wondering if the 240's BCM is integrated into the ECU. If it is integrated, getting the power windows to work would be a biatch. You may ask what my project is. My project is to swap a FWD VQ30 from my maxima into the s13 with a Z33 oil pan & 6Spd and custom mounts an driveshaft. I've already begun parting out my Maxima. I've got tons of parts for the motor and I'm very familar with it which is why I'm doing it this way. I have all but $300 of parts to go boosted SC style so once I get it in a squared away I'll throw my V1 blower on it. I just have to find a good local chassis.
