After my adventure to the dealer today, I noticed my driver's side power window will not go up with one touch. Does anyone know how to make this work again, without going through another dealer visit?

Thats a good question, mine doesn't either, ever since I disconnected the battery to put in the CAI. I thought I remembered readin about it another thread here? I figure I will have the dealer do it when they do my 1st oil change.

They probably disconnected the battery when they worked on it. It's an easy fix. Roll the window all the way down. Then roll it back up and keep holding the button for about 10 seconds.

first off I would like to say welcome, and as a side note, please get familiar with the FAQ's at our portal page http://www.NissanVersa.org This has been covered many many times and thus the reason why it is on the FAQ page. Also good to familiarize yourself with the at the top of the page, it is your best friend before asking a question that may have been answered. If you are still unsure, dont be afraid to ask, and in no way take my comment in a negative sense. Anywho Woogie was right, and once again welcome to NicoClub!!!

Okay... call me stupid but I don't see that in a FAQ off of the main page.

Its apparently not in the FAQ anyway, just have to search for it.

Solution:"Roll the window up and hold the up for an extra 10 seconds. Then try the automatic down and up again. If that doesn't work, get the dealer to check it out."

Yes Welcome to Nico Club and enjoy your stay, but for everyone to be happier and not see threads be reposted try using the search button. Also here is a list of links you should check out first.

http://www.nissanversa.org/infocenter.shtml - the info center

http://www.nissanversa.org/generalfaq.shtml - the FAQ's

zerothread/262174 -the sickie at the top "read this if your new"

Probably want to add the "auto window up issue" to the FAQs, that would probably avoid some of them.

Indeed... CodeRed, when you get a chance... please just add the description of it to the end, rather than doing a link to a thread.

Setting the record straight--

1) I entered "power window" in the search box, before posting this entry, and had a zillion pages of information to go through-- most of it non-Versa related.

2) I'm not new to this forum. I joined it before I got the Versa last fall.

I'm almost sorry I posed the question.

There is a ton of information on NICO, that's for sure. In the scan, you can select a sub-forum to search, and you would have received only hits from this forum.

I'm sorry that you felt you were being jumped on. That was certainly not the intention of anyone. This is a question that has been asked many times in this forum before, and frankly I'm surprised that it never got integrated to the FAQ. I was sure that had happened long ago, but I guess not.

Scott,

You definitely have to have a thick skin when it comes to the internet! I thought it was pretty ironic that you were scolded for not checking the FAQ when the person who scolded you obviously hadn't.... checked the FAQ. It also would have been a lot quicker to just answer the question than to have written all of that. Nonetheless, it serves as a good reminder for us all to use the search feature. I can sympathize with you, though. For some reason I have the worst luck when searching.

My window quite as well.

Thanks Woogie for the solution.

Thanks scottstachowiak for asking the question.

I was going to wait until my first oil change to have it addressed.

Update: I just found the solution in the 2007 Versa Owner's Manual!
