first,

i tried to search, and the forums keep saying 'no matches.' its been like that for a few days, i dont know whats up with that, even the simplest searches like 'gauges' or is it just me. anyway, since i cant search, i'll post.

correct me if im wrong. the power window actuator is what controls the power window lock/unlocking right? so that means when you find the actuator there should be wires that control them. so you would just have to 'tap' into them and run wires to make new switches correct? but on which side (driver/pass.) and what does it look like.

im asking bc im currently making switches for my power windows. just tapping them and routing them to the ash tray area, my ash tray is gone, so theres a hole. ill make a switch box soon for my switches. with the switches to the center console, ill have the convience to roll up/down my windows with my right hand, while my left hand is still on the wheel.

plus and i hate how i have to lock/unlock the doors by flipping the lever on the door. have you guys seen the new celicas... how they have their window/locks in the center, i like their idea, and just trying to do it on my car.

can any body comfirm my questions... if you guys understand it that is

I think what your talking about is the little box on the drivers side (drivers side on my 180) behind the door panel, it's about the size of a D battery, I know that controls the window, it died on me last year, had to get one from a junk yard
