I tried to redo all my vacuum, but I'm bugged.. Am I obliged to hook my Fuel pressure reg & my Power valve actuator to the Power valve control solenoid valve or I dont really need this solenoid?

Hey, that was, with out a doubt, one of the most productive post's I've had in a long time!!! Tru, I was just screwing with you. I know with the CA, you don't have to run them through a solenoid, but it may be different w/the FWD CA's.

Ya as float_6969 says you can run them without the solenoid, I have done it few times on the fwd engines.(but if you have the solenoid, you might as well hook them up, it might give you a better milage on gas from the fuel reg. side )

ok, so if I understand I can hook them directly in the intake and it will work #1 ?

JDM CA's (and maybe Euro?) have that solenoid and vaccumm canister for it. I never had it so I routed it to the intake manifold directly.

:withstupI think that's what all of us did. I haven't seen anybody wire up the solenoid.

A bit of advice on the power valve, leave it open if you are not using the solenoid. If you are running big boost, leave it open (no vacuum) at all times. It seems to slow power response on big CFM turbos such as T3/T4. I used to have mine plugged to vacuum, but I always wondered why the car's take-off was so crappy. All the flow from the big turbo is being restricted by the closed butterfly plates which is a no-no for me. With a T25, I guess it's okay to leave it functioning if you have the solenoid and vacuum lines connected properly. The F/P regulator needs to be hooked to vacuum at all times.

Or do like I'm going to do, and take them out when I go to replace the rings.
