Does the 4th gen Maxima have a PTU in it. I know some of the cars do such as a Z or 240. Does the max? I am having serious skipping of the motor and I was wondering maybe it is due to the PTU having corrosion on it. I know with the Z that is the case 90 percent of the time.

Power transistors are present in most control units. What exactly is the problem with your car? Do you have any diagnostic trouble code?
