power to manual window conversion??

Anyone have any info on converting from power windows to manual windows? Also any info on converting to lexan windows would be great also. Thanks!

i'm guessing just grab a manual door and use the door or transfer the insides. don't know about your area but in norcal doors go for $50 complete. dunno if that helps

i grabbed a door with manual windows in them

and just replace the guts in one in the other

just be careful not to break the glass (obvious)

the only advice i have is i used a decent size screwdriver to pry the window cable frame away from the inside of the door

there are studs in the top (2 studs) and 2 in the bottom that hold the power frame and the manual frame in place

i could not figure out how to get the studs out while the frame was in the door so i just pryed the space between the window frame and the door frame wider

it just did a plastic bend it would go right back in place to it didnt hurt a thing
