I've got to change out my power steering pump. Not many things to remove, but there's not much room in there.

That big nut on the back is really hard to get to, and it's really tight, couldn't get it loose with my Crescent wrench.

It's bigger than any socket I have - anyone know what size it is? got any words of wisdom before I get started?

Thanks for any help you can give!

Forget this! I can't get to a couple of the mounting bolts; not enough room between the pump and the body of the car. Can't even get a wrench in there. Looks to me like you would need to lift the engine several inches at least. I'm taking it to the shop.

The big banjo bolt on the back of the pump turned out to be 24mm, in case someone decides to do this job themselves.
