I don't think the brackets will work, people tend to ziptie them, but thats a little flimsy..not my style. But when i get a hold of a dohc pump, I'll gladly sell you a dohc pump for like 5 bucks and shipping to "turn" the water pump. Thats about all I'm using it for right now. Hell, I'll give it to you if you pay for the shipping. You could try and take the belt off and then eye measure how long it should be from the crank to water pump and see if autozone has anything that length and give it a shot. It worked for my 'rents f250 when the a/c compressor went.

i have no pwr steering either and my pump is slowly starting to give out from the tension on the belt. the shaft is being pulled out of the pump. im looking into getting either and electric pulley for the water pump (like the ones used on drag cars), or some kind of bypass pulley. the shorter belt in theory will work. just got to hope like hell that an auto part store has one like it.
