So ive read that a ka pump will work with the ca brackets. my only concern is that i have no bracket and no pump. is there any known alternative to the bracket that will work? ive been driving without pwr steering for awhile now and its getting old. Let me know if you have found a workaround for power steering. ive seen the stuff for sale but people want a ton of money for everything. its the rwd ca18det in my s13

Shouldn't be tough to get a KA pump and bracket cheap... Most drift guys throw them away. If all else fails, hit up www.car-part.com.

Let's see if some of the CA pros chime in.

Yes the KA pump works, but you need a CA bracket, and it has to be a RWD CA bracket. I would post up here that you need one. Sometimes Boost Boy has a spare.

I had to ditch the stock power steering pump due to having to go to a Ross Race Balancer (only has one drive belt for the alternator and the water pump) to clear my intercooler that sits between the radiator and the engine. To resolve the loss of power steering, I'm in the process of using a 3rd Gen MR2 hydroelectric power steering pump. I'll have a writeup on using one once I've got it finished.

Yea, I'm going to do a writeup once I've got it done. Pump mailed today, so I'm hoping to see it before the end of the week.
