What kind of noises? Pump noises (whining) or mechanical noises (creaks or pops)? Need more specifics. What speeds? Sitting still? When turning?, which way?, both ways?, does it go away after engine is warmed up?Have you checked the power steering fluid level? Does the system possibly have a leak?If it is in warranty, just take it in.

Sounds more like a pump noise when turning both ways. It does go away after warming up. The dealer made it sound like it was normal. I really don't think any odd sound should be "normal"Thanks

I would tell them to at minimum have the power steering fluid completely replaced throughout the entire system (pump, hoses, and rack) and the system bled properly. Then see if that corrects the problem. If they refuse that offer, then tell them you want to speak to the GM and have the pump completely replaced.
