power steering

hey guys im new here.i recently bought a 1990 s13 hatch a few weeks ago. i saw that the power steering fluid resevoir is low. i need to add more power steering fluid. what type do you guys recommend or what type should i use? thanks for any help and i know its probably a dumb question but i really dont want to mess things up. i got confused cuz the car manual says to use a dexron fluid but people are telling me that dexron is transmission fluid. so help me out and point me in the right direction. thanks alot
