When I first put the motor in, I was flying blind and now I'm getting back to fix the stuff that I've been putting off. My power steering pump pressure line was kinked going into the pump and has frayed at the compression fitting. It's not leaky yet, but you never know with that kind of pressure...Anyways, I was curious if anyone else has had this problem and if there are any other nissans out there that have a similar line that I could scrounge for. As a side, my car was a 24de before so I have the dohc lines, but for whatever reason that pump banjo fitting is like a 90 to a 45. As always, any help'd be much 'preciated...ca's rock! Peace...

yours is prolly easier....i had sohc on mine so i had to pretty much toss my whole power steering including reservoir (not really toss i just saved it) ...went to a junkyard and picked up a dohc powersteering assembly with reservoir...connected everything and after a good drive....sspoosshhh the pressure line blows and i go to autozone and pick one up for $50-60 replace it all and im good to go...

so if your hard lines are good...just replace the pressure hose is my advice

yeah, that'd be the one...you say autozone? I'll give them a try...my hard lines and rack are fine, and so is the flexible line for that matter, it's just that one pressure line from the hard line to the pump and on that it's just the way the banjo fitting is situated. thanks, if anyone else has done something different give me a shout!
