ive read a bit about it on here. but here is my dilema. the car i bought was a roller. it has no power steering. i am unsure of what pump to get when i want to add it at a later date. i need an RB25 pump, correct? (motor is a S1 RB25) i just want to make sure so that i can start keeping an eye out for the parts, because im sure ill get tired of not having it sooner than later. thanks guys.

I'm not sure if the s13 lines work on an s14. I know they are different.

But I made my own custom lines for my RB25 swap and if you are interested, I have my s14 power steering lines available if you need them. Let me know. [email protected]

when i got my car it already had the rb20 in it{barely} and the guy said it had power steering. but i swear there is no way i do or if i do it isn't working. so since thias is already a topic. where abouts are the components in a rb20? anybody with a pic? maybe i could just flush it or something. i got bigger problems but it would be a fun little projects. i have a 1990 s13 by the way

seems to me that a pump that is spun the same way as the rb motor does would work. like the stock 240 pump. i know custom mounts would be necessary, but thats what im looking at. i have all of my lines, but no pump or resivoir. anyone know? custom mount would be nothing for me. oh i have rb20.

new question. i just found out that i actually have the RB PS pump. what im missing is the banjo that threads onto the pump. anybody know if a Ka banjo will do the trick?? the shop is going to make the lines for me.

KA banjo does not do the trick. I had to manually bore out my PS line on my S14 to get it to fit the larger diameter RB25 PS banjo bolt.

I made my own custom line with AN fittings. Nice and clean. I'll have to look up the thread pitch of the adapters I bought. But you can make this line at home and it holds 2000+ psi of pressure. All the stuff is made by Earl's.

Why did you have to do this? I've helped my friend install an RB25 pump onto an S14 using the S14 lines and no modifications needed.

Guys, lets get the misinformation out of this thread...

No, you can use the KA (dohc) pump with rb25 bracket.

No, you don't need a custom mount. use an rb20 or rb25 ps bracket. not sure if they are exactly the same, but i know they are interchangeable

any more info you could give me on the specs of the pieces you bought, and where you bought them. it would really help me out.

heh I don't know why I had to modify my stock S14 PS fitting but I remember doing it because it took for ****ing ever. I really like your setup and I would love to get rid of that goofy looking PS line that loops near the radiator. Plus it just gets in the way when trying to pull the radiator. Let us know the fitting size you used.

the only reason i had said anything about a custom mount is because i dont have anything related to rb power steering on my motor. wish i did. but ill try the 240 pump here soon and we'll see exactly what is needed, bracket wise.

The stock s13 ps lines will work just like the stock s14 lines will work.

If you want to make the custom line like I did, for your s13, my writeup should work just fine.
