Thanks again for the advice Q45tech. The local Nissan dealers are just not interested in an imported Q45a. The story goes that a dealer stuffed up the service on one and it cost them heaps of $$$ to fix their mistake. Apparently all dealers have been told by Nissan Australia not to touch private imports. Goes well for our mighty NIssans being an international car. I'm getting more information from the local "Citroen" and "Roller" dealers than from Nissan Brisbane. Nissan Australia said they would do some checking for me, but that was 2 days ago. The Citroen bloke said he uses "LHM" oil and the RR bloke uses Dexron 2 or 3. I think I will get in touch with Nissan Japan, some how, and see what kind of oil they suggest. I'll wait until I get the car back on the road to see if the accumulators are working. Do you have TAXASOIL's email? There is a lot of stuff on "ACTIVE SUSPENSION" on the internet and from all accounts it's expensive but a fantastic ride, I'm amazed that it hasn't been embraced more widely. There is a fascinating paper by Michael Estanislado Lujan on passive and active suspension. Maybe you have already read it.
Yeh! I know what you mean by importing a "One of a kind" vehicle but The Q45a IS a "ONE OF A KIND" vehicle and a once in a lifetime challenge.
I've also been in touch with Mobil and Castrol Australia and they really don't want to recommend anything. I think I have exhausted all avenues all I can do now is rely on Nissan Japan for some answers.
Thanks, the project isn't so daunting knowing that you blokes are ONLine.
