Just an interesting question. So here I am browsing through the members picture gallery getting ideas for my KA-T configuration, and everytime I come accross a KA picture under the hood I noticed that everyones power steering resvouar is on the drivers side tower. Now that cought my eye cause my is on the passanger side. Now this isnt really a big deal for me cause that just gives me all that extra room to work with my turbo setup and everything but Im wondering. Does anyone else have that or could it be a mod the previous owner did?

I moved mine to the driver's side, between the clutch mc and the fender (in that little space).

IIRC, 89-90 SOHC cars have the power steering on the passenger side, DOHC cars have it on the driver's side.

lol facts are facts. it was a good mod while it lasted lol. i didnt know that tho, so is the amt of tubing to the reservoir just increased on the kae's or was the entire power steering unit on the other side of the engine?

hmm now thats a good question. Iv never really payed attention to that on other DE's Iv seen. but I would think that the whole unit is on the other side. Since when you do an SR swap the PS lines are too short from a SOHC. Other wise if everything was increased, we wouldnt have the lenght problem. but thats just my quick conclusion.

I got my Pa where Greg's power steering is. How ever I removed the whole assembly just now. Just drove 73 miles tonight and not a single problem. Just can't back up real quick anymore. Goign up hills and did abotu 15 u-turns. Even did a bit of drifting(NO COMBOS) and it was just fine.
