As can be told by my sign on I am not mechanical, I have a 1991 Nissan 240sx, I think the power steering reservoir is on the passenger side. it is low whatever that is on the passenger side. The cap says caution fill only to level. The problem I have is fill with what. Does it require a special type of powersteering fluid. I do not have manual

i think the power steering tank is on the drivers side in a 91...

is it clear and plastic or a goldish can looking thing?

the clear tank is coolant overflow and requires a 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and distilled water, you can buy that premixed at Wal-Mart

the goldish can is always the power steering tank and yes it requires special power steering fluid that can be bought a Wal-Mart as well

both are inexpensive

hope that helps

On my 93 the power steering res is on the driver's side and it is black. Some are black and some are gold. they are about the size of a squished soda can(1/2 as tall unless you have HICAS). The only things that hold fluid on the passenger side of a 91 are the coolant res. and the windshield washer res. The coolant you can see the whole res and it should have a hose that is attached at the radiator filler neck and you can only see the filler neck of the washer fluid res. You can get all the fluid you need at any autoparts store. I just buy premixed antifreeze as i change mine every six months. Hope this helps out.

I have an '89 and the PS resevoir is on the passenger side. It looks like what the picture above is pointing at. Don't get it confused with the brake fluid resevoir. As confusing as it sounds, you're suppose to use automatic transmission fluid. I think it's Dexron ATF that you're suppose to use. If you buy the cheap ATF from walmart, it actually comes out cheaper than the stuff labeled "power steering fluid"

Why did we start talking about antifreeze?

don't use power steering fluid, its not a matter of cost, its a matter of what the system is designed for.sohc models are on the us passenger side, dohc on the driver's side.Unless you have a sohc attached to a dohc pump. then its on the driver's side (like mine!)
