somthing is seriously wrong with my steering system. heres the long version.

my steering has been getting notchy at drift events, i attributed this problem to over heating. recently at one, it was going on and off a lot more than normal, and i started to get the whining noise, like when the pump dosent have enough fluid, but it deffinitley did. it was whining real loud and hardly working at all, so i decided to take the pump apart and look at it. seemed ok, put it back together. still worked like crap. so i opened it back up and took out the insides in an attempt to ghetto convert to manual steering. i took out the pins, rotor, vanes, front side plate, and associated gaskets. bolted it back together. now its like incredibly hard to turn, all the time. feels like how manual steering feels when stopped, but all the time.

anyone know what is going on with this junk? im going to go get a reman pump tomorrow and see if that fixes anything. but i havent checked anything on the rack, and was wondering if somthing might be broken on there as well.

pop the belt off the pump and drain some fluid out of the rack. if that helps i would really suspect your pump as the problem. a power rack with no fluid is a lot easier to use than a power rack with fluid. assuming that neither of them has the power part working.
