So when swapping the SR into my 90 240, I need the power steering lines, I understand that, but which lines? Everything except the rack and pinion? Also what have some of you guys done with the ECU placement? There is no way I'm extending the wires, that would take days, and I'm not putting it in the engine compartment. Also, am I right in thinking you cannot use the SR's A/C compressor? That's all the questions I can think of now, I'll probably have some more later.... thank you in advanced for your responses.

Okay thought of another question. How many of you changed your water pump when you first got the motor? I'm being told that it will definantly leak (just trying to save a few bucks :)).

all your questions are a little silly.you should do more research

but to get your started...the ecu goes in the stock location.i used the stock waterpump

the ka a/c compressor can be used with a custom bracket, or you can use the stock lines adn have them wlded onto the sr compressor

Alright, but what I mean with the water pump is if it should be replaced, becuase most water pumps, after sitting for a while and then used again will leak. Did you or anyone else reading this have that problem or was it ok?

And even tho my questions may seem silly to you, your questions may seem silly to others. Plus this is my first time doing anything like this so I'm like questioning everything, heh. I'm sure I'll have some more "silly" questions in a minute...

A water pump and oil pump are recomended but do not mean you have to replace them, most SR's come just fine, but I have across one or two that required a oil pump, water pump is usually ok, but might as well replace it for the price, no reason to mess up that motor and waste all that money for a cheap part.

To answer your questions, yes you need the pressure and return hoses and the metal lines. Yes you must extend your harness and install it in the stock location(it's not extra work its the work that is required to do the swap properly) and yes you can use the sr compressor and have new ends put on the hoses. The above post was not trying to be smart with you but we have all answered the same questions about a hundred times and they are all available to you with a simple search of this site. So as a newcomer show a little respect and make everyone happy.
