i used my RB power steering pump, but it leaks like crazy. At 6-7k RPMS it is a steady stream of fluid pouring out of the pump. Has anyone used the KA pump on the RB? i'm gonna try that today. If it doesn't work....does anyone have an extra one lying around that they want to come off of?Thanks

Question......from your sig, looks liek you have S14's. Did S14's come with Super HICAS number one. NBumber too, if they didnt, is your PS pump a HICAS pump???

the S14s didn't come with hicas. But i had to plug a hole on The RB Pump, because i couldn't use it. It looked like another power steering line would run into it. It is the same size as the other PS line hole, but behind it. So i think the RB pump might be for hicas, and i might be running to much pressure to it by pluging that hole.P.S. the KA pump won't work, the pully's are totally different.

YOU NEED TO CASTRATE THE PUMP FIRST. THE REAR OUTPUT IS FOR HICAS, THE FRONT FOR MAIN RACK. CASTRATE AND PLUG THE REAR HOLE, RUN YOU LINES DIRECTLY TO THE RACK AND A RETURN FROM THE RACK TO THE RESEVOIR AND YOU HAVE STEERING.

FOR THE LEAK ISSUE DID YOU CASTRATE THE HICAS PORTION OF THE PUMP? IF YOU DID NOT THEN YOU JUST CREATED A MONSTER BECAUSE NOW YOU HAD PRESSURE BUILD UP AND IT MUST HAVE A: POPED A SEAL (UN-REPAIRABLE HERE), B: POPED A PASSAGE IN YOUR PLUG, OR FINALLY C: BACKED UP THE MAIN SIDE AND DAMAGED THE RACK.

what do you mean by castrate? i plugged the rear hole...so it isn't going anywhere. I'm only using the front hole for my power steering.

OK INSTIDE THE PUMP THERE ARE LITTLE FINS THAT PRESSURIZE THE FLUID. TO CASTRATE THE PUMP YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE FINS AND THEN PLUG THE HOLE, IF YOU DON'T IT'LL BUILD PRESSURE IN THE TRAPED AREA UNTIL THE WEAKEST LINK BREAKS. THE WEAKEST LINK IS A SEAL 9 TIMES OUT OF 10.
