Power Steering Pump Sensor

Hello all,

This is hard to describe so i'll do my best.

The power steering pump has lines that go from the drivers side to the passenger side.

They connect to this rectangle shaped 'device' that has more lines coming out of it. This device has a sensor on top of it that broke. I have no idea what it is and infiniti is having a hard time determining what it is because the diagrams don't highlight this 'device'.

Does anybody know what this is? Here's an image of the broken part. The green end is what screws into the 'device', the other end plugs into a wire harness.

I think you may have an active Q. If so I believe you are looking at the connecter for your main actuator for your active suspension. Check to see if your actsus throws a code 23. I hope this helps

Here's a picture of the 'device' which has the broken sensor. Please tell me what the 'device' or what the sensor is for?

Wes may recognise this. Its hard for me to tell for sure. An easier way to find out what may be wrong is to tell us what is happening in your car. Any weird lights on in the dash etc.

That is DEFINITELY part of the active suspension... Jehangir was right on.. it is the pump accumulator for the active...

thanks wes. the infiniti parts desk was able to figure it out. the bad news is it's on back order and there is not eta date.

it was even escalated to 'customer vehicle down' and still no eta (it's been 4 weeks now).

what should i do in this scenario. the active suspension is completely disabled (meaning that it is unresponsive as if it is turned off and of course the act sus light is on).

i need this part, but i can't get it from the dealership. should i try to get the pump accumulator from a junk yard and hope that the sensor is intact?

i called joe's, but i'm waiting on the status. it could be (actually should be) the same status as when i ordered from infiniit of dublin.

good news. the part is on its way. i'm taking it to infiniti of columbus to have it installed.

big ups to infiniti of scottsdale for coming thru in the clutch.
