Hello All,

Just replaced my rack and pump. Both remans. Also put a new belt on..

The power steering pump whines if I turn the wheel all the way and hold it. Drives great and makes no noises otherwise during normal driving conditions.

Do I need to tighten my belt more or is this another issue? I did all the work myself. The tensioner bolt really confuses me.. There is basically 3 bolts. The top mounting bolt, tensioner nut directly below it and the tensioner screw that connects to the tensioner nut. When tightening or loosening the tension do you loosen the top bolt and tensioner nut and then screw in or out the screw? lol.. I hope that makes sense.

there is a lock nut that needs to loosen, allowing the adjusting bolt to be turned, pushing the tensioner closer or further away to tighten tension on the belts. After belt adjustment, retighten the lock nut.
