Hello!
I was wondering if anyone know what the VG30DETT 1991 power steering pumps working pressure is? I'm looking for an electric alternative instead.
Thanks in advance!

A lot higher than you likely think, it varies wildly but can get to 1000 psi at max load.

As per the FSM ST-97 max pressure for the primary pump is 1194 psi and the secondary pump for the hi cas max 924-995 psi

Good Morning MulleMeck,
I just tore down my 89 Z32 TT 2+0 for a series of reliability and simplicity mods.
Going to convert the power steering pump to a hydroelectric unit and the A/C compressor to an electric unit. This will allow the belt driven p/s pump and compressor to be removed making repair access a bit easier at the side of the motor.
anyhow have researched and most likely will go with a P/S pump from a 2000-2005 toyota MR2 spyder since the P/S control module is on board and will allow the speed cut for the P/S pressure so steering tightens up at higher speeds.

I looked that one up, sounds like a good idea. Can you tell me more about how you connect the P/S control module to the car?
