power steering problem??

Hey,Im getting my engine swapped and im not sure what i need to have power steering. Can someone help me? Also, i know I dont really need it but has anyone driven a car without power steering? I havent. IS it a really big difference or not?

I have no PS. A much more direct feel, only time it bothers me is pulling into the garage, at all other times it is comfortable. I understand you can "vent" the rack to soften it up a bit.. but i honestly dont understand the process.
