Power steering problem? steering is binding up in tight fast turns.

when i scca solo 2 my 1993 nissan 240sx, the steering binds up when i get into the tight sections of the course, where there is fast left and right movements of the steering around cones. the steering wheel gets real hard to turn and some times the fluid comes out of the resivour. what can fix this?

sounds like the steering rack to me.there is a valve that diverts fluid to the right piston or left piston depending on which direction you are steering. that valve is in the pinion part of the rack and probably has gone bad or something.i would replace the rack.
