Power steering pressure

Does anyone know what the peak pressure of the power steering pump puts out? I think that I read that the older units operate at 1100 psi, and the newer ones at 1300 psi. I think that is the normal operating pressure. Is that also the peak pressure? Is there a prescribed method for checking it?

per FSM's, maximum pressure

S14/S15 - 1251-1337 psiS13 - 1038-1123 psi (with and without hicas)

FSM's list the procedure for checking pressure.
