I have a 1998 infiniti q45. My steering is a little tight. I checked the power steering fluid and its all good, however, when i took my car to get the brakes checked the mechanic told me that i needed new shocks. Could this be the problem??

Also where can i get shocks for a good price and how much will that good price be. Sorry if this post a little weird, this is my first time

Shocks should not have an impact on the tightness of your steering. Check out http://www.everythinginfiniti.com for the shocks... best price around for OEM parts.

Could you describe your problem in more detail? By "tight", do you mean it is harder to turn the steering wheel? Check belt tension and idler pully, power steering fluid level and condition, and operation of steering pump.

Beyond checking the above,if problem still exists,look at tie rods and steering rack operation and condition of rack boots {missing, torn, cracking, wet with ps fluid}
