good morning guys, im gonna be ding power steering pump leakage today.

last night, I saw a two palm sized puddle underneath and immidiately i just knew it was my ps going bad.
started a week ago; when turning, more effort was put into my wheel especially during the initial turning (10-30 degrees) phase.

proly have to replace the unit.

Q: please offer any helpful foresight.

Mine did the exact same thing, but eventually did it over the entire turning radius, not just the first 10-30 degrees. I replaced the power steering pump and nothing changed. Maybe I waited too long to fix it? Hopefully you can find a solution!

Have you carefully checked for a leaky hose or rack? When our cars get low on fluid they act up badly to the point of frothing the fluid out of the cap on turn off, remove the screen in the tank to reevaluate your level, you could be getting fooled.

I had a leak on the high pressure line right where it bends around the oil pan.
It rubbed against the pan enough to go through the pipe.
Got a good one from Shark awhile back and slapped it in !
I was told it was a leaking rack by a shop I use for tires.
NOT!
Find the leak before any other procedure !
