My power steering reservoir completely depletes itself needs to constantly be refilled almost daily. I looked at where it was leaking it and it leaks right behind the driver side wheel, at the boot where the tie rods are. It looks like its coming from the rack and pinion.

And I just got my rack and pinion changed too, and the guy who sold me the rack told me it DOESN'T leak. But now it seems like its the rack because there's MASSIVE leakage from the boot. Help....Can someone confirm this?

You defintely need to remove the power steering rack. I would make sure and find out if it is coming from one of the hoses but if not, it either needs to be fixed, replaced or just installed correctly.

if the rack was used the seals could have dried out from sitting. also the ps lines connect right behind that boot so look closely before removing your rack.

thanks guys...just checked it. Not the PS lines, Its def. the rack and pinion. It was used, and the guy basically sold me a faulty rack Gonna try to get refund.

Well since I'm getting it replaced again and since I'm down there , any recommendations for suspension mods?

I bought a remanufactured one on ebay from a seller called garo steering (a really good seller for rack & pinions)

It costed me $220 with free shipping, and if you send your old one back they give you a $75 refund.

Installed the rack and it everything was absolutely fine, had no leaks, no issues thus far.
