Well for some reason after my swap my power steering is not working, I hooked up all the lines from the res.. to the pump, to the rack. Everything is correct. Its a s14 motor in a 91 300zx. Its weird because I would pour fluid in and if I would steer the car it would just ouuuzzz out of the top of the reservoir. The pump makes a little noise but not as loud as others when there starving for fluid. There is no leaks at all, so that wouldnt cause it. But usually when you add power steering fluid it would some what be soft, its completely hard. Any ideas or thought would be appreciated. Thanks

1st congras on the sr in the 300zx! z32? There is only 3 things that come to mind; 1: Hi pressure lines crossed with low pressure lines maby and 2: maby the sr pump dont have the psi that the 300 needs. Did the 300 have rear wheel steering? and 3: Did you bleed the PS by turning steering wheel to full lock to the left then full lock to the right then keep dooing it untill its soft?

Thanks for the reply, yup its a z32(handles like a dream) The high and low pressure are hooked up correctly, I had a shop look at it but there not sure either. By bleeding, I did go back and fourth left and right while pouring in the fluid, but it just kept pouring out from the top. The 300zx doesnt have all wheel steering. And there is another guy in Florida thats running the s13 pump(with the s13 motor) I have the s14 motor with the s14 pump. Just not sure why its not flowing. Thanks for your help, any other help would be appreciated, just would like to get this fixed.-Ricky

PS here is a pic of how i hooked up my PS lines
