Power steering / In & Out 92Q

I just finished reading all the old posts on this , but I need a little new help. I'm not a huge "CAR guy" , but I've been able to identify and fix every problem I've had with my 92Q over the past few years with everyones help on this board .So, Thanks in advanceMy problem is that my power steering is going in and out.It only cuts out for 10-20 seconds at a time, then it's OK again.I've got the origional rack , and I'm not sure how to tell if thats the problem. I also replaced the PS belt about 4 months ago after it snapped.Any info will help....thanks

Did you replace the idlers also? Search for power steering control unit. It has resurfaced recently in some of the posts.

Rack speed pressure control unit...........FSM shows you how to read voltage driving pressure solenoid.In fact there is a test point in the diagnostic connector [where the Consult plugs inside cabin.

Pretty common module failure after 10-12 years..........especially if the solenoid has every been shorted............could also just be a wiring problem with solenoid.
