Power steering hoses, hard or not?

I have a leaking power steering hose on my 2000 Maxima and when I changed my oil I looked from underneath and it looked very hard to get to. Is it easier to take off the acess panel or is it a total pain in the anal cavity and I need to let my mechanic handle it? Thanx.

I swore mine was leaking until I changed my valve cover gaskets

It is definatly power steering fluid. I see a puddle of pink stuff on the floor and have to refill the reservoir every other week.
