Well like every 240SX owner, I have a power steering leak on my stock 91 240SX with HICAS. I have taken off the power steering hose that is leaking and taken a picture. This line hooked up to the steering rack.
Now the rubber at the top has started to crack and leak from the top. I am wondering what my options are for replacing this like with something other then OEM. Since I won't be running a turbo for a few years, I am not looking to relocate it yet, in fact I am hoping to go cheap since I am almost out of money this year on the car project.
My one thought is the rest of the hose seems good, and cutting into that part, and splicing it with a ribbed brass splicer (

I wouldn't expect the old hose to hold up more then 1 or 2 years of driving. (It's a seasonal car) So what is everyone thoughts on this idea, or any other options. I have also looked at AN fittings but they are going to be pushing me over budget for this year.
