I tried to search the forum, but could not come up with exactly what I needed. I have a 91 240SX SE with HICAS. I have a leaking hose that goes from the reservoir to the steering rack. The only place I found online that might have it only showed a 2d drawing that wasn't very good. It didn't really look like what I needed. This hose is rubber where it goes to the reservoir and then it is banded onto a metal pipe that goes to the rack. I would like to have a direct replacement if possible. This is where I was looking, https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/oem-nis ... 24D;4=4WS). Does anyone know where to get this hose or what has everyone done to solve their leaky hoses? Thanks

Chuck

Thats a bad link for me chuck. Are you talking about the front or rear rack? Just last night I ended up getting rid of all my OEM power steering lines since they were old and starting to leak. I instead bought AN fittings, line, and an aftermarket cooler. Total cost was Around $150 and took about 2 hours to fab up a cooler bracket, make the lines, and install them. I have a way cleaner bay now and rack maintenance is easier.

I don't know why it don't like that link. Try this, https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com. I guess you would have to enter all the info. This is for the front. I have so many problems I didn't want to start something new. I would like to just purchase an OEM hose if possible, but may have to do something like you said. Actually the other two hoses are leaking also, but they are just hose with clamps. I thought this one had clamps at first. Nissanpartsdeal might have the hose, but because there were no pictures, I can't be sure.

Hmm, if its just the high pressure hose....chase bays does an AN line for pretty cheap. http://www.frsport.com/index.php?target ... d&cid=1939 here are some options that you could consider.

I need the low pressure side since it goes to the reservoir, correct? I am a little confused on what is high or low. It looked like all the hoses were for the high side on the FRSPORT site. How did you run your hoses with the AN fittings? Did you just run rubber hose from the reservoir to the rack? Why does this stock hose turn into the metal pipe before it goes into the rack if it is low pressure? I hope to get under my car today or tomorrow to do some other stuff and I can look at things more closely. Thanks for all your help.

I have decided to go the route you did of buying hose and fittings. I still don't see the type of hose I need. I see the high pressure stuff, but not the low pressure from the rack to the reservoir. I see the hose I need in the complete kits with the reservoir, but they don't sell it separate. What type of hose did you use and where did you get it? Where did you get the fittings going to the rack? Thanks.
