I purchased an Edlemann high pressure P/S hose from Rockauto.com. Unfortunately the fitting was right at the rack end, as it seems too large for the rack. The bolt on the OEM was 14mm, but the Edelmann hose at a 16mm bolt. Needless to say, its being returned.

In the meantime, I used Waterweld to patch my old hose, but I am having a problem reconnecting the return hose from the rack. Everything is back on, but I can't get that damn hose to screw back into place. Is there a trick to it. The high pressure hose went back in with no problem, but I can't the threads to catch, so it won't screw in.

ITs kinda like a brake line....in that the looser the line is and the more you can wiggle it around, the easier it is for it to thread.

If your leak is one the steel line, you can cut it at the hole and use compression fittings to mount the two pieces together.
