Aright, if im cruising down the road and gently see-saw the wheel back and forth no problem, everything feels normal. Now If I give it a quick joust left to right, like a hard feint or something along those lines, It has a dead or flat spot turning right.

pump or rack, or possibly both?

Mine did this for a while until the fluid warmed up.......I had put straight Lucas conditioner ps fluid in.......which is honey thick. I replaced it with some regular ps fluid, and that took care of it

steering rack bushings. mine are nonexistant and when you turn you have to keep feeding in more steering angle so it doesnt trace back.

suck all the fluid out of the resiviour with a turkey baster while its running, dump more in, do that several times untill your fluid comes out clean. It also may help to have an assistant turn the wheel back and forth.
