power steering gone worst after Rack and Pinion change

There was a leak so mechanic asked me to change the rack and pinion. After market parts are put in, now the power steering is hard that if I continue driving, my shoulders will dislocate in few days. These are the things that Goodyear service station guy worked.

Rack and pinion change (very expensive parts and labor).Power steering oil flush. (expensive again).

Is that thing going to take some time before It becomes a power steering like it was before? I am really not happy with what ever was fixed. I guess Dealer will charge me a lot for the check up.
