Power Steering Goes out when speedometer goes out

Someone answered but my computer crashed. could someone help me out and how to fix the problem. I read something about a speed sensor by trany but not sure can someone point me in right direction.

Lino recently had the same problem:

It'll either be the sensor or the cluster.

Well everyone on the forum always points to the speed sensor as the problem with the power steering and speedometer failure however i spent $$$$ replacing the sensor and that did not cure the problem. A week after i replaced the speed sensor i replaced the speedometer cluster and puff wa la the problem has been solved now for 4 days no problems at all.

My problem has been resolved. I replaced the cluster and everything has been working well ever since.

The speed sensor was already replaced by the previous owner, because of complaints of the same problem. He then returned back to the dealer, bacause that didn't resolve the problem. It was always an intermittent issue and it was the cluster ultimately in my case that was the fix.

where and how to replace cluster and where to buy one?

I bought a used one from a person who parted out an Active Q, which was necessary as the Active Q has a specific cluster. You check in the classifieds section here on the forum or ebay.
