Hey guys
After looking into an odd steering problem my car was having I found play in the left tie rod. The ends were worn pretty significantly but the majority of the play came from where the left tie rod connects to the "gear and linkage assembly".
When I was looking for the source of the problem I came across a noteworthy amount of ps fluid in the old boot that covers the tie rod and linkage assembly connection. It was only on the left/damaged side so I didn't know if that was leakage due to the loose tie rod or if the extra fluid on that side indicated a link elsewhere in the system which may for example indicate that my PS system needs to be rebuilt--if not something else?
Anyone know?
Also for those who have done it did you find it difficult to install whole tie rods (not just ends) and tc rods? I plan to pick up replacement tie rods, rod ends, and tc rods since they were all on my summer build plan anyway Any pointers from experience or write ups are appreciated but this I can search for. That's all
