Two ways to do it. The way I'd suggest is to remove the hose from the pump and reservoir and let the fluid drain out. The pump has an in and out hose, so you can get it fairly empty. The other way I here about is the Turkey baster approach which is inserted into the reservoir and sucked out.

Only use oem power steering fluid for the Q or mobile 1 transmission fluid. Nothing else is worth the promblems you'll get from using it.

Highly recommend the mechanical extraction replacement (if fluid not brown) or the full hook-up mechanical flush if it is. Sun and BR make such equipment. Wynn's has something also, but I am not familar with it.

Look at Scott Jackson's post in Infiniti Mechanic Forum also.

thanx to all. im flushing the trans manana so maybe they can do the pwr. steer., also doing brake fluid & diff. that only leaves coolant, seems ok but will change for peace of mind. got some steering rack boots from napa but the small end orifice, hole, whatever seems really small, like maybe only3/8, i didnt measure but it sure seems a big stretch to fit over the tie rod ends. i hope the mech. will know for sure. looking forward to that 1st road trip after i feel confident about everythig.

I used the turkey baster method over the course of a month to make sure I got all the old out. Definitely use MOBIL 1 transmission FLUID!!!!!!!

Just stopped by the Infiniti dealership today and inquired about a full P/S flush. $200+ !!

I think I will stick with the turkey baster method.

I would really take the hose off the PS pump as well to drain as much Old fluid out and not just the Turkey baster method. The pump holds alot of fluid that you don't see. Just jack up one side to get under there and you can take that hose off easily. Just my humble opinion though
