Before I get flamed, I did search

Anyway I have a simple question. Why can't you use the PS lines from a front clip when you do a swap??? Someone else I talked to said he didn tsee why not, that he hadnt heard otherwise. i HAVE heard otherwise and just wanted some clarification on the matter.

This is assuming your clip comes with PS

Are you talking about the cooling loop thats on the crossmember? That PS cooling loop on the RB has its input and output holes on the opposite side of 240s'. You can try to modify the RB but I just shorten the 240's and made a new loop. If your talking about the HIGH pressure line for the PS pump you have to remove the extension so you can get at the bigger banjo that it is connected to. (At lease on the S14, don't know if true on the S13s.) You'll see what I'm talking about once you look at it.

you have to use a flair union to "blend" the HP and return lines.

For the High Pressure line I used my stock S14 one.

I used the S13 lines and the RB lines, just combined them and bent them into loops to take up the slack. I am not sure what from which I used but I did get it to work.

Okay I should have rephrased my question. This is for S13 SOHC owners only...

I used the lines from either my clip or the origional ones, the clip reservoir and just looped them around to take up the slack. You have everything to make it work but it's kinda cheesy. The real way would be to get a new high pressure line made up. Here is a photo of how I did it...

Y eah I have the FAQs on how to use the SOHC lines, but I remember reading that the clip lines werre incompatible. I aksed a firend and he said he planned on using his and hadnt heard they were incompatible. I dont care if it is cheesy...I just dont wanna fork over 200 for some new lines. I have been trying to find some DOHC lines for sale, but ym attempts have been futile. I can live without AC, but PS is an abslute must. Cheesy is fine. I dont plan on having a show car, so it can look junky in there as long as it serves its purpose.

The nice thing is that the intake tubes(for the side mount intercooler) and the filter cover most of the cheese so it's not too bad.

Man I'm the exact opposite. Right now I don't have power steering or AC, and don't care at all about the power steering. But the summers in georgia can get pretty hot and AC sure would be nice ;)

To stay somewhat on topic, if you get this hooked up please provide us with a brief description of how you did it. For now not having power steering isn't bad at all, but one day I may get tired of it and want to hook it up.

There is a FAQ on how to use the SOHC lines. I have that if worse comes to worse for you. I want A/C but this wotn be my daily driver as much as it used to be. Power steering is a neccesity. I drove a non power steering car before and it was murder on ym arms. I am still trying to get some DOHC lines. I also hear you can have some fabbed up for pretty cheap

hah I hear ya spec.. I am driving my old civic right now while I change my clutch, no PS sucks.. and when my 240 kept dying when I'd put it in neutral because of the AAIV the no power steering was crap too.
