power steering cuts in and out...rb25 s14

So, my powersteering seems to only cut out when I do a little bit of drifting, as in, i will do one turn or do one transition, then i will try to do another drift and the power steering cuts out leaving me trying to he-man the steering wheel to attempt not spinning out. After it cuts out i can drive down the road and it remains tight, but eventually loosens back up and i say that it takes about 30 seconds to do so. so far, it has only done this while i drift. It first did this at a drift competition in myrtle beach on feb 2nd and now that the next event is on the 15th, i need to get it fixed!

My fluid is full, im going to get some power steering conditioner and just see if it makes a difference. obviously the only options are rack, pump, or the steering column itself. my steering column does rub just slightly every great once in awhile put shouldnt cause the problem due to the fact that it only happens in drift situations. i also, hit up the back roads, occasionally auto x, and drag...thanks for the help in advance

Maybe the pump belt could be slipping and you just don't notice it or your pump is just bad in general.

Sounds like a problem that happens when you don't have enough fluid in the system, just double check that.
