alright guys iam new to rbs in general, iam planning on swapping a rb into my s13. iam have been doing research on top of research. can you use the stock kade power steering pump and ac compressor with the stock lines attached? or do you have to have r32 pump and compressor with lines? also in all honesty is it that much more difficult to install an rb compared to an sr? i read up on the wiring and it does not seem to complex compared to an sr.. i have done an sr swap just not an rb. iam also conserned about the tac and speedometer. also alot of the rb parts can be interchanged with a 300zx non turboed engine as well, if i read that post in the forum correctly.. thanks alot chris

welll welcome to nico and the twin cam pump works with a lil modding here the link i did mine from
http://www.240sxforums.com/forums/rb-en ... -rb25.html
and in personal exp. i find the rb to be a lil easyer and about the tach and speedo u have to u the ka speedo from the transmission an swap it into the rb trans and either use a aftermarket or i30 tach but if u go aftermarket say autometer like i did ull need a 9117 adapter
and yes the 300 has alot of interchange parts witch is why think its easyer than an sr

thats awesome, so the ac will bolt right up to the rb block with mods? also in your personal experence how hard is the wiring compared to the sr? also might be a newb question but do you have to install the rb from under the car or can you go through the top like any other ka? i was looking at an rbed 240 and it looks extremly close after its installed, i didnt know if there was any specific way of installing the rb into the car.

I always found that going in from the bottom works the best as going through the top takes alot more patients. Putting the engine in from the bottom is more work but it is easier IMHO.

I dropped mine in from the top; it wasn't that bad. I did have to put it in at an angle though. Took about 45 min with good help from a friend (recommended). Hardest part was getting the transmission gussets over the power steering lines.

Bottom is no doubt easier but I was lazy and put it threw the top too. Didn't want to mess with the alignment after the swap was done lol.

not sure about the ac dont really run ac on my motors and the wiring is alot easyer than a sr but u have to double check everything more cuz theres lil things here and there some wiring guides dont have check the hifive wire guide for rbs its one of the ones with a thumbtac at the top

and about top or bottom i say top. have the transmission crossmember onand bolt it up first finger tight thedo the motormounts and adjust the transmission as needed(hav the s*** out lol fyi)
