power steering and abs light issue

Okay so yesterday i got off work and my lady surprised me with an abs light and no power steering and for some reason my driver window was not automatic any more. frustrated and tired i just wanted to go home. i figured id look in to it this weekend. On my short drive home a magical switch flipped and power steering came back and the same time abs light went off. Today i found this link http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.as ... _id=950732 but my question is i have a NA NOT A TT so i dont have a hicas fuse and a blown fuse wouldnt be the problem any way seeing as how it all stopped but this morning it did the same thing but once againg it stopped it self? any one have any ideas. thanks in advance -Ryan

I would check your alternator. When mine failed, my ABS light came on. How's the rest of your electrical stuff?

At the risk of being the noob to bump an old thread. Did you ever find a solution for this? I've looked everywhere and I have tried everything I can think of.

Even if you don't have HICAS, the PS is considered is considered part of the HICAS system. When my resevoir got low, the HICAS light would come on. I don't know if its labeled differently on the NA, or if they just called everything HICAS anyways.

I would also help if you confirmed exactly what you are seeing and what troubleshooting you've tried.

Sorry to bring up the old thread. However my z is doing the same thing. I checked all fuses and relays even at the abs pump it self. Conecters looked fine. For now it fixed it self, however I'm having electrical issues with the blinkers as well all bulbs are good but they blink fast when the corner/headlights are on. Wondering if its all related, gonna load test it when in the morning. As BigTdog suggested it may be an alternator problem. The corner light bulb sockets were a little rusty but I cleaned them up to no avail. I'll keep you guys posted.
